Just a thought, why don't you write to this professor and see whether he will see you at his NHS hospital, at least you'll be able to chat to the expert about it.
Its easier now to pick and chose where you want to be seen with the booking system all on the computer. Your GP should also be able to send you as part of the choose and book more…

Hi Bar
I'm addicted to I'm a celebrity already and of course the X factor and am also enjoying daytime tv but to be honest I never thought I would look forward to Doctors or Neighbours ( although I ahve watched this from the first show when I was in nurses digs).
I used to make cards as well and if I'm stuck any longer I might do more…

Hi banana
Thanks so much for your info - I've actually managed to get some help today. I'd talked to Dads social worker last week who said she would go and see him and try to persuade him to have some rest bite which he has decided he will have in January by coming to me for a few days.
He had a few tears this morning but knows more…

Is there any charity/hospice in your or their area that might provide respite care for your Dad or step-mother?
I just think that maybe the way to alleviate things may be to find outside support for all of you. You are all in need of care and this is a horrible situation for you all to be in.

Hi - yes I've had hypnosis and some of the cd's that I listen to when I'm bad are from my hypnotist but the sort of pain I have to deal with is 24/7 and can be irritated with the smallest of thing and a bit to painful for hypnosis to help it. Thanks for your comment. more…

I've been thinking and worrying about you Bar so I am so pleased your having feeling back.
Maybe you should write a diary in case this happens again, but I would still like you to see a Dr, just so they can have it on there records.
Big hugs and kisses xxx more…

Did the physio take an X-ray or do any blood tests?
If not I think you should go see a GP as well just to be on the safe side.
My Dad had a mouth ulcer that wouldn't go away and was told by one GP it was nothing - which is what he wanted to hear.
But by the time he saw a different doctor who knew their stuff and kn more…

I'm so sorry to hear that you're having a bad time Bar.
I agree I really think you should go to see your Dr or even A&E, your health is so important and you need to look after yourself. I know the stress has increased and you've been looking after your Dad but thats not the reason why this has happened.
You can feel so more…

Having suffered with severe back pain problems for over forty years I can tell you that you need to see your g\p a.s.a.p and insist on an x\ray study. Loss of sensation in a limb can mean all sorts of things including lack of blood supply and damaged nerves. I do not want to be an alarmist but I have had many years of experience with the medical pr more…
