Some people are just born lucky I am sure of that. Me, well I hardly ever moan but I do feel we have had our quota of bad health in our family over the last 12 months.
We are not a large family and so consequently when a number of us are not on top form, it soon seems worse but over the last year we have had some major upsets at home.
I'm hoping that writing all this down will make me feel a bit better so here goes. Just a few of the problems we have gone through over the last year started when we found out that Dad has Skin Cancer (Melanoma) and so he had to have a large operation which did not go by without a few complications. My Dad being a chronic diabetic did not help the healing process but we got their in the end. Another member of our family had a hip replacement which got infected a few months later from a tooth abcess and so he had to have the hip taken out and another put back in when the infection was cleared. He then had problems with an infection in his eye from the operation and has lost his sight in one eye. My son's partner had a bad car accident and she sustained severe head injuries which has left her with sight problems and stomach problems. My son hurt his shoulder playing tennis last year and now he has to have an operation to fix it. My daughter has been poorley after a bad bout of gastroenteritis and we have now found out she has an extra long and twisted colon. My step mother went into hospital this year to have a growth removed from her stomach and ended up having two strokes and an infection and now needs full time care. And of course there is boring old me with my back problem...................
I'm sure you have to agree that's a lot of problems in such a sort space of time !!! I am now convinced I have another stomach ulcer which I guess in no surprise but I just wanted to get it all off my chest and felt this was the best way to do it.
That's the last you will hear about it - I shall get on with writing my book about it now (I wish) as I could count on both hands the amount of people who have told me to write one. Shall I go for it?
