I had a really bad day .....................

by Barmac @ 2008-05-02 - 22:14:09

I had a really bad day yesterday !! I'd had a bad nights sleep (just by way of a change) with my arm pain waking me up constantly so I climbed into another bed so that I did not disturb my other half ( kind or what !)

I felt awful when I woke up and the pain in my arm took a while to lift. My day was just like any other which starts off with a nice walk with the dog followed by house stuff then after my afternoon nap its time to surf the net. I cannot honestly think I did anything to stir the dam thing up but by early evening I was feeling really dizzy.

It remained all evening and I was starting to feel quite rough so decided to get myself to bed. I took a while to go to sleep as I still felt dizzy lying down but eventually all the drugs I took sent me off to cuckoo land.

Thankfully, I woke up this morning and the dizziness had gone completely, but the arm pain hadn't. Has anyone out there had that sort of problem like me?

Its going to be a long three years to wait for treatment for my beak type bone spur in my neck so I have to get my head around it.

My book and CD arrived on Hand Reflexology and I have been reading it all day. I really want to learn how to treat myself (and others, I hope) with this treatment. It's handy andy whichever way you go about it !!!!!!

Cheers - thanks for that - I will try what you have suggested and let you know. It's nice to know others understand what I am going through.

Hi - i find the egg shell mattress better for me. I also tried natural medicines but they just didnt last long enough.

Acupuncture is good but as you say expensive but again does not last long enough but I am hoping to start again on another course at the pain clinic.

I can't live without my heat wraps and the only injections that worked for me were the epidurals which now do not last longer than a couple of weeks for my low back but longer for my neck pain.

I'm also on Pregrablin which is the same as Gabaprentine.

We really have tried the same - you have to smile lol.

If your home isn't far from Bristol,Would you like to come see me for consultation,Of course,I don't want charge your fee, just for friendship.I think you need some suggestion with right diagnosis.Anyway,Best wish to you! Zak.

Hi Zak
Thanks for your kind offer but I am a long way from Bristol and hopefully will soon be starting another course of Acupuncture at my local pain clinic. I did find it helped last time for my arm pain but not my low back. Thanks again for your thoughts.

I know exactly where you coming from on this. My mother suffered from back pain for years when she hit her early sixty. The National Health Service in the UK were hopeless and in the end the only way out for her was a corrective operation to her lower back.

Thanks for your thoughts Peter. Is your Mum ok now? They have told me that maybe in another three years there will be an operation that will help with the pain but at the moment because of my previous surgeries it means there is nothing they can do. I've been down the holistic route before - I just wish they lasted longer but you never know this time I might be lucky. We do have a very good pain clinic at my local hospital, so I am very lucky to have that.
